Blueoak Estates has announced its commitment to creating healthy homes by becoming the UK’s first representative of The VELUX Group, the driving force behind the international Indoor Generation campaign.
The campaign raises awareness of how our indoor environments can impact our health and wellbeing, revealing that the air inside our homes is up to five times more polluted than the air outside.
Gareth Pritchard, Head of Planning and Design at Blueoak Estates said, “Fresh air and natural daylight are critical to every Blueoak scheme and through our collaboration with VELUX, we maximise the amount of ventilation and light available”
“Houses with more daylight certainly sell quicker and 61% of Blueoak homes are sold off-plan.”
Leanne Ross, Brand Manager at VELUX, said “Fresh air and daylight are not nice-to-haves, they are must-haves so we are delighted to be working with industry leaders like Blueoak to create better homes for future generations.
“Ultimately, the design and build of a home is a key contributor to the health and wellbeing of homeowners. When factors such as daylight, temperature, air quality and space are considered, it leads to a healthier and happier family”.
