Founder and Managing Director, Iain is proud to have formed Blueoak Estates in 2014.
Having graduated with an Honours Degree in Residential Development, Iain has worked in the industry for over 20 years. His widespread career has seen him involved in a diverse spectrum or residential schemes ranging from single plots to volume developments of over 1000 homes.
Iain's real passion lies in the development of quality bespoke niche housing and this was the driving force behind establishing Blueoak Estates. Surrounded by a dynamic team with an impressively diverse and extensive skill set, Iain is looking forward to expanding Blueoaks reputation for beautifully designed and crafted homes.
Outside of work he enjoys spending his well earned downtime surrounded by his large family and travelling.
Steve started work as a trainee accountant for a large plastic manufacturing company in the 1980’s. He progressed quickly in the finance sector, holding a number of Financial Director positions, particularly in the retail and property industries, including Porsche Liverpool and the Corkills Group. As an original Director and Shareholder of Blueoak Estates, Steve is committed to ensuring the company always acts responsibly and delivers great value for its customers.
Steve has been married to Helen for 25 years and has two daughters. He's a competitive sportsman and enjoys Tennis and Golf as a member of Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
With over 30 years’ experience in the building industry Karl has a wealth of experience in all aspects of construction. He has been involved with Housing Projects from new build to redevelopment work with experience in working in conservation areas and listed buildings.
More recently he cofounded a company investing in Commercial and Retail investments across the North West.
Wirral born and bred Karl is a keen golfer and enjoys skiing when he can find the time.
Blueoak Estates Operation Director, Phil Hughes, brings over thirty-five years’ experience in the industry, across a broad range of residential, commercial, industrial and heritage sectors.
During his spare time, Phil enjoys keeping fit by walking, watching a variety of sport and expanding his knowledge of photography.
Blueoak Estates Operations Manager, Graham Armitage, is responsible for overseeing Blueoak’s construction side of the business, ensuring a smooth and efficient service that surpasses the expectations and needs of our clients. With over forty years industry experience, Graham possesses excellent analytical and communication skills, playing a vital role in the company analysing statistics, managing costs, tracking performance and overseeing day-to-day operations.
In his spare time Graham enjoys watching rugby in his role as Vice President and former Chairman of Caldy RFC, and is also a keen golfer and member of Caldy Golf Club.
With over 30 years of experience in both residential sales and lettings, Teresa brings an abundance of knowledge to Blueoak Estates. Starting her career at Swetenhams in Mold, Teresa spent 16 years selling properties in North Wales before moving across to Cheshire for a two-year period. Despite finding huge success, the pull of Wales was too strong and Teresa has been back in Mold for nearly 12 years, securing a strong reputation for unrivalled expertise in the industry.
In between meeting with clients, buyers and investors, Teresa loves spending time with her family and friends, heading out on long walks and visiting buildings of interest across the UK.
Head of Planning and Design, Gareth holds over twenty years of industry experience having worked with a variety of regional and national residential developers. The last sixteen years have seen Gareth play a key role at Countryside Properties helping to expand and re-focus the Northern business from a 60 unit per year bespoke developer to regeneration and PRS specialists delivering in excess of 1200 units in 2016.
Achieving award winning product design utilising varying construction techniques, Gareth is expert at creating, refining and preserving design and build quality from conception to end product.
During his spare time Gareth enjoys travelling, running a local Chester 20/20 cricket team, and is a keen member of Eaton Golf Club.
Our Sustainability Consultant, Paul Byrne, brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. Having gained extensive construction experience working at Lancaster City Council, Carillion Specialist Services and Premier Guarantee, Paul will be ensuring that Blueoak maintains its exacting standards within Blueoak’s building control, energy performance and sustainability commitments.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time flying his paramotor, watching football and keeping up to date with current affairs
Responsible for the coordination of Blueoak Estates marketing activity, Holly manages each part of the process from company advertising through to social media and charity involvement within the local community.
A local Chester resident, Holly enjoys spending her free time exploring Cheshire’s stunning countryside with her family and indulging in her passion for photography.
Our experienced Finance Manager, Josh Jones oversees every part of of the company’s finances and investments, ensuring that cash flows and budgets are managed effectively.
Outside work, Josh enjoys playing for Anselmians Rugby first team as well as hitting the slopes in the winter months.
Chris Livingston is the Senior Quantity Surveyor at Blueoak Estates and is responsible for all areas of surveying from initial budget plans to final cost analysis. Having gained extensive experience working on residential, commercial and retail sectors across the North West, Chris is a key member of our team.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys watching football, American sports and catching up with the latest movie releases.
Cameron Murdoch is the Accounts Assistant at Blueoak Estates, working closely with the Financial Controller and Quantity Surveyor to ensure the smooth operation of the Finance department.
In his spare time, Cameron enjoys keeping up to date with football, basketball, build websites, and spend time with his family.
Phoebe, assists with the team and Director’s administrative requirements, ensuring each day runs smoothly and efficiently. Also acting as front of house and Receptionist, Phoebe provides a professional and friendly first point of contact for callers and visitors alike.
Phoebe spends her free time travelling to far flung coutries and enjoying spending time with family and friends.
